A New Member of the Team

Folks, I’d like to introduce you to a new member of our blogging team.
Dan Gibson is a Phoenician who’s been a great friend throughout our transplant, providing moving assistance, fantastic conversation, slabs of babyback ribs and great MarioKart battles. He’s an accomplished blogger, a frequent contributor to the popular Idolator music blog. He also works for iTunes, creating those iTunes Essential lists. In particular, Dan created the Portland list on iTunes, which confirmed my long held suspicion it was influenced heavily by Burnside. When I asked him about it, Dan denied stealing from me until I pointed out the similarities.
Anyway, Dan is a great guy and he’ll be commenting on various aspects of pop culture. He assured me last night he has a lot to say regarding the Jonas Brothers.

Quite an introduction, Jordan. The accolade “accomplished blogger” seems like one of the least complimentary phrases ever uttered, slightly better than “model prisoner” or “best anchor on Fox News”. Add that into the “stealing” bit (I prefer the term “researching”, thanks), and I’m not sure whether to grace this place with my JoBro-related wisdom after all.
However, as one minor correction, the more accurate place to see my wondrous catalog of posts from Idolator is here: http://idolator.com/posts/dangibson/. Although I’m certain most of you have something better to do with your time; managing imaginary sports franchises, watching the fourth hour of the Today show. Etc, etc.
Which one of those three guys is Dan?

It's always nice to read about music & pop culture from someone besides the usual cast of culprits (one can only digest so much PDX love from BWC).
But I do have 2 questions for you: 1) How can I apply for a writing position with Idolator? & 2) Does asking Question #1 make me supremely annoying, cloying, and/or super-lame?
1) Idolator posts job announcements when something becomes available; I’ll give you a head’s up if/when that happens.
2) Up for you to decide, friend.
1) I appreciate in advance any information you might be able to provide to me.
2) Since you answered my question so honestly and promptly, I’m going to simply pretend that my questions are not annoying (and if they really are, just don’t tell me).
