Across the Universe – December 18, 2009
Across the Universe — By Sara Sterley on December 18, 2009 at 12:00 pmA few things that I found interesting this week around the internets:
- Fellow BWCer, Gayla, forwarded this story from Time Magazine about the Advent Conspiracy “movement.” As Gayla said, “great article but also funny – after posting an encouraging article about seeking the true meaning of Christmas with less emphasis on gift-giving, someone thought it appropriate to also provide a link at the bottom to the TIME’s Holiday Gift Guide 2009. Brilliant.”
- IĀ appreciated Anne Jackson’s honesty and about her struggle with depression and bipolar disorder. Her vulnerability helps combat the stigma of mental health issues.
- Do those leaked emails from top climate scientists even matter?
- What Gene Stoltzfus, founder of Christian Peacemaker Teams, had to say about Obama’s Nobel speech.
- A little Advent poetry from Thomas Merton.
I need your help! Send me your interesting reads from your weekly internet wanderings!
