David Gentiles’ Memorial

Blog — By Jordan Green on December 31, 2009 at 11:52 am

David Gentiles’ memorial service was held last night on a ballfield in Austin. I wish I’d been there.

From what I’ve heard, it was a fitting tribute. Here’s what I wrote about David a few days after he died. Fortunately, you don’t have to take my word for it.

Here’s what the Statesman-Journal had to say about David Gentiles.

Here’s what Donald Miller said about his friend.

An improv comedian named J.J.

Lest you think people are only saying great things about David because he passed away, here’s Grace Pettis.

I didn’t know this until I read Steve Rosenbaum’s tribute to David, but he was also instrumental in Don Piper writing 90 Minutes in Heaven.  For those keeping score, David Gentiles was instrumental in the writing of two NY Times best-sellers.

KXAN featured a story on David’s memorial service on the nightly news.

Links for helping the Gentiles family appear to be down right now…I hope because of all the support flooding in…keep checking, though.  Let’s lift up our friend Ariele.
