Poetry — By Sarah Thebarge on July 13, 2010 at 2:00 pmI am wake. I am tired.
I am freed. I am mired.
I fall as I rise.
No, I fall more.
I am here. I am yonder.
I am stay. I am wander.
Finish is start.
I’ve been here before.
I am blank. I am bolded.
I am in. I am folded.
Yes is a whisper.
A thunder is no.
I am nod. I am shaken.
I am free. I am taken.
Living is dying.
Mach speed is slow.
I am slave. I am ransom.
I am scarred. I am handsome.
I need til I want.
And then I need more.
I am rant. I am silence.
I am peace. I am violence.
If Ocean is endless,
Who can be shore?
I am crowd. I am lonely.
I am all. I am only.
Floods flow from the depths.
Rain falls from on high.
I am weak. You are stronger.
I am fade. You are longer.
You talk stars into shining.
I’m trying. I’m trying.
I am lost.
You are found.
I am thought.
You are sound.
I am then.
You are now.
I am what.
You are how.
I am earth.
You are sky.
I am who.
You are why.

Beautiful work!
You are! Bravo!
love it.
My husband has been trying to get me to subscribe to this blog for about a year, now. This poem was one of the first things I read. Simply put, it is *AMAZING* and it “found me” at just the right time. Thank you for sharing.
This is awesome.
Sarah, what a wonderful piece. Thank you for manipulating words to describe with such accuracy the beauty of God.
Love this: words, plays, depth, honesty, whole.
Thank you.
How did I miss this? Fantastic.
