pierced

your gentle gaze
my heart pounds
if you know me for who i am
your attraction would fade
repulsion, detraction, distraction

how can you still pursue me after all of this?
my betrayals many – my faithfulnesses few
yet you are still looking at me
calling me to you
is it possible that a love could pierce me so?

your pursuit hurts so good
infiltrates
penetrates
conquers my heart
such a gentle puncture

my life fading
yours infusing
releasing me from me
to be the one you made me to be
for you and me

permeates my soul
engages my mind
a grace divine
a love sublime
i am yours

pierced as you are

    Awesome.
Nice, Bobo. It made my morning.
Although very transparent, the feelings portrayed resonate with anyone of us who is honest in their perception of themself and their relationship with the Father.

  • Thank you Michael. I appreciate you reading and confirming this basic awe at God’s grace.

    Mike,
Thanx for sharing. Loved your interpretation of how God loves us no matter what. Praying we would all keep in mind (at all times) the depth of His love for us!

  • Mike,

This is touching, deep and beautiful. I had starred this email to look at a time when I could really “drink” it up. Finally! Yes, His love is boundless and so penetrating. Thanks for this reminder.

    Carolyn
